WCK is a nonprofit organization founded by chef José Andrés that aims to fight hunger and poverty around the world. They work in areas affected by disaster and poverty and are committed to providing healthy, nutritious, and culturally-appropriate food to those in need. WCK believes that food can be used as a tool for change, and they also work with local communities to develop long-term solutions to end hunger.
WCK reached out to ANML to design and develop a new componentized, headless CMS website that is scaleable and easy to manage with their evolving ambitions.

With over 300 million meals served, it is obvious that WCK is constantly in motion. Their aspiration to keep supporters updated on their journey to fight hunger with live news updates helped us to recognize that their content is the star of the show. So we kept the design clean and functional with thoughtful white space and flexible grid layouts, while allowing their content to still feel lively with subtle pops of color and micro-interactions.
A website reflects a lot on the quality of an organization. With this in mind, we rethought the sitemap by grouping subpages together under a navigational menu that made more sense. Also, with the new extensible component library, we were able to certify that the user experience would be seamless, consistent, and accessible for each page and on every device. After a year of launching, users users entering the donate page increased from 23% to 44%.
